Cumberland ME February 2010 Real Estate report

For the month ending Feb 2010 residential real estate in Cumberland Maine saw 4 homes sell compared with 2 in January and only 1 in February 2009. Like other regions the area has stabilized and volume has increased. Prices in the higher priced regions continue to fall a bit with the median home selling for 232K in February. Currently inventory is holding steady at 54 homes on the market.

Westbrook Maine Housing Report Feb 2010

The residential real estate markets of Westbrook Maine saw just 10 transactions take place at a median sold price of 195K and a median days on market of 32 in February 2010 contrasting with 13 homes selling in February 2009 and 5 in January. This represents a transaction volume decrease of23% and a pricing decrease of 5% year over year.

This mid coastal Maine town is home to LL Bean and offers great value for parties looking to relocate to a great community. South Portland ME Report 2010

For the month ending Feb 2010 the South Portland ME real estate housing market saw 21single family and condo residential transactions occur at a combined median price of 167K with each home sitting on the market for a median of 61 days. This represents a volume increase of 21% year over year and an increase of of 91% month over month. The median price decreased year over year by 6% further reinforcing the slight downward but for the most part stabilizing pricing for the region.

Lincoln County real estate report Jan 2010

In January 2010 Lincoln ME real estate markets saw 9 transactions transpire at a median sales price of 248K compared with January 2009 where 10 homes sold at a median price point of 151K. The mid coastal region continues to lag behind southern and greater Portland Maine in home sales and activity. Ideally the 2nd home buyer will return to this marketplace helping propel sales forward!
